Order Information & eGift Card Basics

How does an eGift card work?

Electronic Gift Cards work just like regular Gift Cards, however, a digital card with a code is emailed to the recipient containing instructions on how to redeem at checkout. The eGift card may be used solely or in combination with another available payment method to purchase merchandise at select UMG online stores. eGift cards may not be used to purchase additional eGift cards and may only be used on select UMG online stores.

How do I send a eGift card?

An eGift card is a quick and easy way to give a gift to someone when you don’t know what to buy! Simply choose the amount and select "Send as a Gift". You provide the recipient's information, add a personal note if you wish, and decide to deliver to your recipient's email inbox instantly or, if you're a planner, schedule your gift to be delivered at a future date. We'll take care of it from there!

Is there a limit to how many eGift cards I can purchase or send?

You may order multiple eGift cards in multiple quantities to be sent to you by selecting the purchase amount and quantity and selecting Add to Cart. The total may not exceed 3 eGift cards or greater than $200 per eGift card or a total of $600.

Can I add additional money to an eGift card?

Redeemer may use their eGift card for multiple purchases as long as a balance remains. Neither the eGift card purchaser or the recipient can add additional money to the eGift card.

Once I place an order for an eGift card, when will my account be charged?

If you place an order on our store, you will be charged for the full cost of your order immediately. If you see any additional pending charges on your account, please allow up to 3 business days for them to reverse. if they do not reverse and you believe there has been a billing error, please reach out to us at the email listed above.

Can I change my order?

Unfortunately, we can’t change any information on an existing order once it has completed processing for e-delivery, including details like your recipient name, e-mail, billing information, item, eGift card value, or quantity. We also cannot cancel orders after successful checkout.  Purchases of eGift cards are non-refundable. 

Are there any sales tax or processing fees?

Our eGift cards have no additional processing fees or sales tax.

Can I place an order over the phone?

We can only accept orders placed through the website. if you’re having trouble accessing the site for any reason, please reach out to us at the email listed above and we’ll do our best to help.

Do you offer physical gift cards by mail?

No, our eGift cards are delivered electronically via email. eGift cards are a great way to send a gift directly to your intended recipient. If you prefer to hand deliver your gift, you can have the eGift card sent to yourself and print out the email.

 

Delivery and Returns

When will my eGift card be delivered?

Your eGift card will be delivered immediately after successful checkout or on the date you scheduled if you selected to send as a gift at a future date.

I have not received my eGift card.

Our eGift cards are generally delivered immediately after successful checkout to the selected recipient email address. eGift cards will be sent separately from your order confirmation email. Please be sure to check your SPAM folder. If you have received an order confirmation email but have not received your eGift card, please contact us at umusicgiftcards@umgstores.com so that we may assist. Please note we are not responsible for eGift cards sent to an incorrect email address supplied by the purchaser.

I purchased a eGift card for a friend. How can I confirm if they received it?

If purchasing for multiple recipients, be sure to purchase each individually! In addition to your order confirmation email, you’ll receive a notification once the recipient receives the eGift card email.

I've lost my eGift card.

We are not responsible for lost eGift cards or eGift cards sent to an incorrect email supplied by the purchaser. However, please feel free to reach out to us at the e-mail address above and we'll see if we can help.

I need to cancel an order for an eGift card that has not yet been sent.

Sales of eGift cards are final and cannot be cancelled or refunded. Sales are final once checkout is successful.

Can I return a eGift card?

Gift Cards are not returnable or refundable for cash except as otherwise provided by law.

What happens if I need to return an item purchased with an eGift card?

Merchandise returns may be accepted according to the return policy terms outlined on the store where the item was purchased. Approved returns will be refunded back to the original eGift card used at checkout.

 

Redemption

How do I check the balance of my eGift card?

The gift card page that displays the eGift Card code will always show the current eGift card balance. eGift card redeemers can access the gift card page by clicking on the "View Your Gift Card" button within the email.

How do I redeem my eGift card?

After adding merchandise to the shopping cart and proceeding to checkout, choose "Gift card" as the payment method and manually insert the eGift card code on the Gift Card or Discount Code field and hit Apply.

If the total cost of the merchandise is less than the amount on the eGift card, the order will be processed and the balance will remain on the card for future use.

If there is still a balance remaining on the order, the eGift card redeemer may select another available payment method to cover the remaining balance.

Where can I redeem my eGift card?

eGift card redeemers can use UMG eGift card(s) toward merchandise at select online UMG stores. eGift cards are not available for redemption at all online UMG stores.

Checkout is not accepting my eGift card code.

Can I use multiple gift cards for a single purchase?

Yes. Once an eGift card is applied for payment, the eGift card redeemer can choose to apply another by re-selecting "Gift card" as the payment method and entering the second eGift card code.

Can I use an eGift card in combination with promotions or other discounts?

Yes.

Will my eGift card expire?

No. As long as there is a balance on the eGift card, the eGift card will never expire.

Are there any restrictions on what I can purchase at the UMG stores with an eGift card?

eGift cards are only available for redemption at select online UMG stores and cannot be used to purchase additional eGift cards.

Will the value of the eGift card diminish over time? Are there dormancy fees?

No. We do not charge dormancy or other fees.  The balance of an eGift card only diminishes through use.
